Leeds' Finest Table
Michelin Guide recommended. Chef-led seasonal dining in a converted Victorian foundry.
What Our Guests Say
★★★★★The seven-course tasting menu was genuinely one of the best meals I've had in the North. Every plate told a story — the heritage carrot dish alone was worth the visit.
★★★★★We booked The Foundry for our anniversary and it exceeded every expectation. The sommelier's wine pairings were exceptional, and the building itself is stunning.
★★★★★Finally a restaurant in Leeds that takes seasonal produce seriously. You can taste the care in every course. The Sunday roast has completely ruined every other roast for me.
Dining at The Foundry
Every experience is built around the same principle — the finest seasonal ingredients, prepared with precision, served in a space that makes the evening feel singular.
Seasonal Tasting Menu
Our signature multi-course journey changes with the seasons. Each tasting menu is written around what's at its absolute peak — foraged, grown, and sourced from producers we know by name. Five or seven courses, with optional wine pairings selected by our sommelier.
Private Dining
The Foundry's private dining room seats up to fourteen guests beneath the original foundry arch. Whether it's a milestone birthday, an intimate wedding reception, or a long-overdue reunion — your evening is yours entirely. Bespoke menus, dedicated service, a room that does the talking.
Corporate Events
Impress clients, reward your team, or host a working dinner that people actually want to attend. The Foundry offers tailored corporate dining packages with flexible menus, AV facilities, and the kind of venue that starts conversations before the first course arrives.
Sunday Roasts
Every Sunday, The Foundry strips things back to what matters — exceptional roasts served family-style. Dry-aged beef, heritage breed pork, or a seasonal plant-based centrepiece, all with proper Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes cooked in dripping. Walk-ins welcome, but we'd recommend booking.
Wine Tasting Evenings
Once a month, our sommelier hosts an evening dedicated to a single region, producer, or grape. Six wines, paired with small plates from the kitchen. It's equal parts education and indulgence — the kind of evening where you discover your new favourite bottle.
A Victorian Foundry, Reborn
The Foundry occupies a converted Victorian ironworks in the heart of Leeds — a building that spent a century shaping metal before we started shaping menus in it. The riveted columns, the arched brickwork, the sheer scale of the space — none of it is decoration. It's the real thing, and it gives every meal a sense of occasion that no new-build could replicate.
Chef Marcus Holt leads a kitchen built on one non-negotiable principle: every ingredient earns its place on the plate. The menu changes with the seasons because it has to — we cook what's genuinely at its best, sourced from Yorkshire producers and foraged from the surrounding countryside. That commitment earned us a Michelin Guide recommendation and 4.8 stars across over 500 Google reviews.
Voted Best Restaurant in Leeds 2025, The Foundry is proof that a city famous for its industrial past can lead on its culinary future.
